That from over warm tropical waters

Tropical refers to the geographical origin of these systems

 They typically form when the sea-surface temperature is above 26.5°C

But also have varying names depending upon where in the world they form

Tropical cyclones can continue for many days, even weeks

Causes of Hurricanes. Warm water, moist warm air, and light upper-level winds 

May follow quite erratic paths.

A cyclone will dissipate once it moves over land or over cooler oceans.
